Rochester United make Management change

Rochester United have made an immediate change to their management structure.

The First Division side have announced that Chairman Matt Hume will step back from his role on the touchline, and be replaced by Michael Betts.

The club have released this statement;

“Matt Hume has made the decision to step down from his role as manager with immediate effect. However, he will continue in his active role as club chairman.

We are delighted to announce that Michael “Bettsy” Betts has been appointed as our new manager. His first match in charge will be at home against Tooting Bec this Saturday.

We’d like to extend our best wishes to both Matt and Michael in their respective roles.

Let’s get behind the team and finish the season on a high!”

Rochester host Tooting Bec on Saturday and with a positive result still have a decent chance of making the end of season play-offs.
