Punjab United Updates ahead of their 2023/24 Premier Division Season

 

We are delighted to announce that our veteran striker Paul Vines will be signing on for the 2023/24 season as a player/coach.
Paul has the experience of winning many trophies over his career as well as goals which will be used to mentor our younger players!
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s amazing to have Vinesy here for the 2023/24 season. He’s got bags of experience and is such a great lad to have around the squad and the club. He may be getting older but he’s still got it in him!”
(Paul Vines) – “Going into my 25th and also almost definitely last year of playing football in a competitive manner I could think of no better place to be. The foundations of this club are everything a non league footballer could wish to be around and more. With vast improvements made last year and a couple of statement performances hopefully the club can continue to find new levels. I’m looking forward to being back amongst the squad and making the most of the last rodeo!”

We are delighted to announce that our skipper Lea Dawson will be signing on for the 2023/24 season.
Dawson is a player with lots of experience, as well as commanding the midfield he has contributed with his goals whether it’s a header or a long range belter!
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s amazing to have Dawson here for the 2023/24 season. He’s got bags of experience and is such a great lad to have around the squad and the club. Let’s hope we can see some more belters this season!”
(Lea Dawson) – “I am happy to have signed on for Punjab United for the 2023/24 season. I’m happy to be part of this great family club and hopefully build on the success we had last season. I’m looking forward to seeing you all again! PUNJAB ARE MASSIVE EVERYWHERE THEY GO!!!”

We are delighted to announce that Tunde Aderonmu has signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Tunde is an experienced player at this level and scored 24 goals last season while playing for Erith & Belvedere as well as Beckenham Town.
(Chipie Sian) – “I was delighted to get this signing across the line. He will be an attacking threat this season and is a player who knows where the goal is. He’s a local lad also who played for us in our first season in the SCEFL Premier.”
(Tunde Aderonmu) – “I’m delighted to sign for Punjab United who are such a loving club but at the same time a club with ambitions to go further. I want to be apart of this journey. I’ve heard the Punjab Ultras have a new chant for me also so it will be great to hear it in the upcoming season!”

We are delighted to announce that Sam Bailey has signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Sam is an experienced player and is also proven goal scorer at this level!
(Chipie Sian) – “I was delighted to get this signing across the line. He is an attacking threat, he will cause defenders all sorts of problems, create chances and will chip in with some goals too. We look forward to seeing him in action.
(Sam Bailey) – “Punjab United is a well run club, and a very ambitious club. It’s been a long time coming, so I’m buzzing to get started and give everything for the team. I’ve also heard that the fanbase at the club is very good so I’m happy to be here!”

We are delighted to announce that Jordan Campbell has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Jordan has been at the club for 3 years and is a versatile and experienced player!
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Jordan stay for the upcoming season. He’ll provide us with his versatility and well as his experience which will help us. He also knows where the goal is when called upon”
(Jordan Campbell) – “Punjab United is a club you can’t hate and I’m delighted to be staying for the 2023/24 season. I’m buzzing to get going and give everything for the team.”

We are delighted to announce that Chris Edwards has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Chris has been an essential part of the squad this season with the experience he brings onto the pitch as well as living up to the name of Beckham 😁
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Chris stay for the upcoming season. He scored and assisted some vital goals last season and is a pleasure to have for the upcoming season.”
(Chris Edwards) – “I’m delighted to be staying for the 2023/24 season. There’s a journey that the club wants to be on and I want to be a part of it. It will be great to see the continued support for the upcoming season.”

We are delighted to announce that our GK Rilwan Anibaba has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Although Rilwan has only been at the club for half a year, he’s already become a fan favourite and a keeper you can always rely on.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have signed Rilwan for the upcoming season. He made some great saves last year and it was a no brainer to keep him in the squad for the upcoming season.”
(Rilwan Anibaba) – “I love the sense of community around the club. Since arriving here, I’ve been treated like family which makes playing football here really easy. The club has big goals for the upcoming season and I’m looking forward to contributing towards achieving them.”

We are delighted to announce that Andrew Dythe has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
AJ has been at the club for a few months and in this time he has become an important part of team. His experience in defence and ability to create and score goals have been valuable.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have AJ stay for the upcoming season. He’s got a great cross on him and he’s an experienced player and I’m delighted he is staying.
(Andrew Dythe) – “I’m delighted to be here for the 2023/24 season. There’s many great people at this football club and I want to thank them and join them on their journey for the upcoming season. Come on Punjab

We are delighted to announce that Jack Barry has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Jack has played for us a few times this season and when called upon has used his experience to help the squad.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Jack stay for the upcoming season. He’s a player with lots of experience and will be crucial in our defence!”
(Jack Barry) – “I am happy to have signed again for Punjab United. They are a well run club with some fantastic people behind the scenes as well as the brilliant Punjab Ultras. I can’t wait to get back to pre-season and meet up with the lads again to see what we can achieve together next season!”

We are delighted to announce that Arun Suman will be signing for the 2023/24 season. Suman is our longest serving player at the club. Over the past few years he has shown us why he’s an integral part of the team. A clever player with great vision, he has the ability to come up with some great dribbles and passes and with the odd goal too.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s amazing to have Suman here for the 2023/24 season. He’s our longest serving player and is someone I always know I can rely on. He’s also a great lad as well and deserves to be at the club for another year!”
(Arun Suman) – ” I’m looking forward to the season ahead. Personally I have so much more to give to the team, I believe with the current squad we have we can achieve great things. We showed it in certain periods last season however we are looking to be more consistent this year and finish better than last season!”

We are delighted to announce that Michael Hagan will be signing for the 2023/24 season.
Hagan is a player who has been at the club before and it’s his second spell back at the club. He’s a great player on the ball, he knows where the net is, as well as goals he will provide us with assists.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s amazing to have Hagan here for the 2023/24 season. He’s a player I know can improve over pre-season and will be a great player to have in and around the squad!”
(Michael Hagan) – “I’m happy to re-sign for the upcoming season and looking forward to scoring goals and winning games next season. After a hit and miss season previously, I want to hit the ground running and prove the doubters wrong. Up the Punjab!”

We are delighted to announce that Dylan Gilbert has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Dylan is a young player who has been defensively solid when called upon this season.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Dylan for the upcoming season. He’s a young player who can play in a couple of positions and is great to have around the squad.”
(Dylan Gilbert) – “I am happy to have signed on for Punjab United for the 2023/24 season. We have a great squad here, I’m looking forward and excited to be part of it. I’ll be ready to make an impact when called upon. I can’t wait for the upcoming season and hopefully we can achieve our goals!”

We are delighted to announce that Jack Arnold has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Jack is a young player who impressed in the U23’s last season and got his reward by playing some games in the first team.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Jack for the upcoming season. He’s a young player who knows where the net is and has impressed so well in the U23’s he deserves to be in and around the squad!”
(Jack Arnold) – “I am happy to have signed on for Punjab United for the 2023/24 season. It’s a great club with a great fanbase and I’m thankful for the opportunities I have been given and this season I want to go out there and score lots of goals.”

We are delighted to announce that Emiliano Hysi will be signing for the 2023/24 season.
Mili is a clever player with great vision, he has the ability to come up with some great dribbles and passes with the odd goal too.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s amazing to have Mili here for the 2023/24 season. When he’s played for us, he’s been great and has been able to score some great goals over time!”
(Emiliano Hysi) – “I’m looking forward to the season ahead. Punjab United is such a lovely club with great people. We know we want to be successful this year and with everyone’s support that can be possible!”

We are delighted to announce that Jayden Hussain has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Jayden is a young player who impressed in the U23’s last season and got his reward by gaining lots of minutes with the first team as well as adding goals to those minutes.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Jayden for the upcoming season. He’s a young player who knows where the net is and has impressed so well in the U23’s I made the decision to play him in the semi-final and since then he’s been scoring goals for fun!”
(Jayden Hussain) – “I am happy to have signed on for Punjab United for the 2023/24 season. After a great end to last season, I am grateful to continue enjoying playing at the club. More games, more learning and more entertainment for you guys!”

We are delighted to announce that Steve Ratcliff has re-signed for us for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Steve is one of our longest serving players at the club and has been a dominant presence in defence.
(Chipie Sian) – “It’s great to have Steve for the upcoming season. He’s been at the club for over 5 years and it’s good to have his presence around the squad!”
(Steve Ratcliff) – “I am happy to have signed on for Punjab United for the 2023/24 season. The people involved within the club are amazing and I can’t wait for the new season to start!”

We are delighted to announce that Elias London has signed for us from Lordswood for the upcoming 2023/24 season!
Elias is a young defender that our management team has had an eye on ever since we played against him.
(Jason Powell) – “It’s great to have Elias join us for the upcoming season. I know him previously from when he was at VCD U23’S and since then he’s improved massively. He’s someone we’ve had an eye on since we played Lordswood in our last league game. It’s nice to see that we are able to attract players that play well against us which just shows how far the club has come!”
(Elias London) – “I am happy to have signed for Punjab for the season. I can’t wait to work hard and graft with the boys to help the club achieve their goals and to meet the amazing fans that love and support the club!”

We are delighted to announce that Del Oldfield will be joining our coaching team for 2023/24!
Del is an experienced and UEFA qualified coach who has previously managed Erith & Belvedere and VCD.
“I’m extremely happy to be at the club alongside some very familiar faces and good friends. Chipie, Powelly and Vinesy have made it clear what they want from me and what they expect on the pitch this season, and it’s now my job to help create the identity and style that they would like, so I’m really looking forward to the challenge. There’s a great bunch of lads to work with here and it’s gonna be exciting to see how far we can go as a group.”
