Premier Division Final Day
Sheppey United are the Premier Division Champions following today’s 3-0 win at home to Tower Hamlets.
Warren Mfula’s hat-trick sealed the silverware for the Ites who need to rack up a record 102 points to finish ahead of runners-up Chatham Town.
The Chats ended with exactly 100 points from their successful campaign and completed it with a 2-1 victory at Erith Town.
The top two will now take their place in an Isthmian South East Division line-up that no longer will include Whitstable Town or Phoenix Sports, who are both likely to join us next year following their relegation.
Lordswood finished the season in a relegation position but have a Points Per Game total that is likely to see them escape the drop.
A last minute Dominic Wynter-Stephens penalty earned them a point at home to Holmesdale and that should be enough for them to avoid the drop.
Rusthall went into today needing to equal or better Lordswood’s result and they did just that when sharing the points with Erith & Belvedere at Jockey Farm.
In a topsy-turvy game both sides led at times but it finished 4-4 and the Rustics are safe.
Elsewhere there were final day wins for Hollands & Blair, Deal Town, Canterbury City, Fisher, and Welling Town while Glebe and Kennington drew 1-1.
A round-up of events from the 2021/22 season will be released in the coming week.
