Premier Division – 8th January
Bad weather contributed to a reduced fixture list in the Premier Division today and come 3pm we only had 4 games get underway.
One of those kick-offs came at Holm Park, where Sheppey United closed the gap on leaders Chatham Town thanks to a 3-0 win over Bearsted.
Billy Bennett and Liam Gillies scored first half efforts for the Ites with Warren Mfula adding the other on the hour mark.
Kennington handed Erith Town a third consecutive loss with Robbie Dolan notching a brace in a 2-1 win at a rain-soaked Erith Stadium.
Steadman Callender levelled in between Dolan’s fine efforts but the points went to the visitors who currently sit 8th in the league table.
Rusthall moved further away from the drop zone thanks to a 2-0 win at basement boys Lordswood.
Following a goalless first half Luke Adams and Armando Pires-Costa both scored to give the Rustics the 3 points that see them move up to 17th place.
The unbeaten run continues for Hollands & Blair after they won 1-0 at K Sports.
Joe Kane was on target for Blair who are now 13th.
