Faversham Town have today announced the signing of striker Stefan Payne.
The club revealed the news on their website;
After being released by Tonbridge Angels, Sammy Moore was quick off the blocks to get Stefan in, no doubt the chairman’s phone was red hot as soon as there was a prospect of getting his signature.
Stefan, whose previous clubs include the likes of – Dover, Welling, Tranmere Rovers, Shrewsbury, Gillingham and Fulham, will bring bags of experience, mental and physical strength as well as goals.
The Gaffer, Sammy Moore said: “Stefan is a real winner and leader, having played against him and watching him at previous clubs, he is a real handful and a proven goalscorer (10 goals for Welling last season) at all levels. He will be a fantastic addition to the squad, The management team can’t wait to work with him. A huge thank you to the Chairman, Gary Smart for the backing, this is a real coup for this fantastic club! I’m sure Stefan will be a fan favourite!
