FA Vase Semi-Final

Canterbury City 1-1 Cray Valley PM

A crowd of 1,274 flocked through the turnstiles at Salters Lane in Faversham today to see the second leg of the FA Vase semi-final between Canterbury City and Cray Valley.
Cray Valley held a 1-0 advantage from the first game meaning that a draw would be enough to get them to Wembley, and that is exactly what they got.
In a tight cagey affair the deadlock was broken in the 72nd minute by Gavin Tomlin for Cray with Gary Sayer levelling on the day in the final minute for the unfortunate hosts.
The Millers would get their day in the sun while Canterbury walked away knowing that they had participated in the biggest game ever between two SCEFL sides and had hosted a record crowd to watch it.
