New Manager announced at Snodland Town
Snodland Town Football club have announced that they have appointed former Staplehurst Monarchs manager, Luke Wallond, to the vacant first team managers position.
Club Chairman, Dave Jeal, said “We have admired Luke’s work on and off the pitch at Staplehurst over the past two seasons in particular.
“It was clear we shared the same ambition once we spoke and I am sure Luke will bring the success we strive for. We are now really excited for the season to start whenever safe to do so.”
Under Luke’s guidance Staplehurst Monarchs were unfortunate not to make it into the SCEFL in both of the last 2 seasons. After winning the Kent County Premier Division in 2018/19 they were narrowly denied their place at Step 6 due to Ground Grading issues. They followed that by again being clear at the top in 2019/20 yet with the season coming to an early end, and then being declared Null and Void, promotion was once again taken away from them.
Snodland Town will make further announcements on the management team and players in due course.
