Lydd Town announce ‘Director of Football’

 

Lydd Town have announced that Former Gillingham Chief Scout, Mike Robbins has been appointed as the clubs first ever Director of Football.

Robbins, a UEFA B Qualified coach has previously managed at Tunbridge Wells and Croydon FC aswell as being first team coach at Barnstaple Town.

First Team Manager James Rogers was quick to relish the opportunity to welcome Mike to the Club.

‘Mike brings a wealth of experience to the club, and I look forward to picking his brains as we move forward!’

Robbins joins Lydd Town in the week that they prepare for their biggest game in the clubs History – Away in the F.A Cup to Kingstonian, following the bank holiday win against league rivals Deal Town.

When asked about the role, Robbins added, “It’s a great opportunity to help Lydd Town build something even bigger that the community can really benefit from.
The lads are really building something on the pitch, and I am here to help gel the club together behind the scenes. I am really looking forward to it. “
