Lordswood Appoint Callum O’Shea as Caretaker Manager
Lordswood FC have announced the appointment of Callum O’Shea as Caretaker Manager for the foreseeable future.
The former Lordswood captain steps into the role following the departure of Scott Porter last month and will take charge of the team for this weekend’s SCEFL First Division fixture away to Welling Town.
O’Shea is well known to the Martyn Grove faithful, having previously captained the club during his playing days. He also brings coaching experience from assistant managerial roles at Steps 5 and 6, and will be supported by the existing coaching staff as he begins his tenure.
In a statement released by the club, Chairman Ray Broad said:
“Callum is an ex-Lordswood player who has captained the Club. He has been an assistant manager at Steps 5 & 6 in the past, and he will be supported by the existing coaching staff. We wish Callum all the best.”
Speaking after his appointment, O’Shea said:
“Delighted with this opportunity! Looking forward to meeting the players and staff tonight.”
The appointment marks the start of a new chapter at Lordswood as the club aims to restore stability and climb the First Division table.
