Lordswood Part Ways with Manager Scott Porter
Lordswood Football Club have confirmed that manager Scott Porter has stepped down from his role as First Team Manager following a difficult spell in charge.
The news comes after a tough week for the Lords, who were beaten 9-0 by Rochester United before falling to a 3-0 defeat on Saturday at previously winless Lewisham Borough.
In a statement released by the club, Chairman Ray Broad said:
“Lordswood Football Club can confirm that Manager Scott Porter has decided to step down from his role as First Team Manager. We would like to thank Scott for all his hard work during his short term at the club.
The Board want to reassure our sponsors and supporters that the club remains fully focused on building a strong future both on and off the pitch.
Our immediate priority is to ensure stability and continuity. The search for a new manager is already underway.”
Porter leaves after a short tenure, with the club sitting at the lower end of the SCEFL First Division table. Lordswood will now turn their attention to finding a replacement capable of steadying the side and moving them forward.
Their next fixture sees them travel to Sheppey Sports on Saturday, October 4th, where the team will be looking to respond and begin a fresh chapter.
