Lordswood make Management change

Lordswood have moved quickly to replace their Management Team with Jason Lillis, Scott Porter and Mark Lane coming in to replace the outgoing Ross Wiles and Lee Garlinge.

Sitting at the bottom of the Premier Division, Lordswood have made the switch to try and preserve their Step 5 status, with the new boys coming in with just 7 games remaining and the team 6 points from safety.

Chairman Ray Broad said: “We’re pleased to announce the appointment of our new management team Jason Lillis, Scott Porter and Mark Lane.

“We look forward to working with Jason, Scott and Mark.

“First-team coach Sam Wilson will assist the new management with the transition and then will be stepping away at the end of next week.

“We would like to place on record our thanks to Sam for all his efforts, on and off the pitch, and wish him all the very best for the future.”

Lillis first managed the club more than 15 years ago and is now onto his fourth spell at Lordswood.

The move also sees a return to the dugout for ex-Whitstable Town and Hollands & Blair manager Scott Porter, having left fellow strugglers Lydd just days before the start of this season.

Using his Social Media to say goodbye, Ross Wiles posted: “Wishing the club and new management nothing but success for the rest of the season and the future.

“It’s been a pleasure to work with the chairman, management and all the players this season – great club; great people.”

The new management team’s first game in charge will see them visit promotion-chasing Fisher this weekend before welcoming Glebe to Martyn Grove seven days later.
