Lordswood FC updates – 2022/23

Updates from Lordswood ahead of the 2022/23 Premier Division season.

We travel to Chatham Town, Rochester United and Snodland Town and welcome Lewisham Borough and Sheppey United to Martyn Grove for our warm-up fixtures to the 2022-23 season.

We are pleased to announce that Callum O’Shea will be our first team Captain for the 2022/23 season.

Another one staying at the club is highly sought after Goalkeeper, George Bentley.

George kept us in many games last season and his penalty saving record… well that speaks for itself.

Great to have you onboard again George!

We are pleased to announce that the tenacious Chris Ware has committed to the club for another season!

He’s a colossus in defence and he’s signed on for another season at Martyn Grove! We’re pleased to announce Phil Makinde is on our retained list of players for 2022/23.

He was part of the Lordswood squad that finished a club record high of 4th in the SCEFL seven years ago.

He rejoined us last term and is now committed for a 3rd season. Good to have Grant Brown with us again.

He’s one of our own! Forcing his way into the 1st team setup over the last couple of seasons after scoring goals for fun with the reserves in the Kent County League. Striker Zak Jakubowski is ready to be among the goals this season.

We are pleased to announce the signing of Dennis Agbudume.

Dennis joins us from Welling Town. An attacking fullback comfortable on either side of the pitch, looked impressive in Friday night’s friendly.

We are pleased to announce the signing of James Teodorescu.

JT joins us from Holmesdale where he was a regular last season.

A solid attacking fullback, he gives us a great engine with a wand of a left foot.

We are pleased to announce Nat Murray remains a Lordswood player!

Bags of pace, if he can deliver performances like he did on Friday night then he will cause problems for opposition defences this season.

We are pleased to welcome Junior Baker to the club!

Strong, commanding and an excellent communicator, Junior’s experience will be a massive boost to our defence.

We are pleased to welcome former Dartford Academy and SC Thamesmead player David Jesus to the club.

Technically gifted with great vision, we’re sure he will fit in well with the squad’s direction.

Known as the Lordswood Delap, long throw specialist and a wand of a left peg!

Lewis Tristram is the latest player to commit to the club.

The SCEFL Premier Division season kicks off on Saturday 30th July
