The Southern Counties East League are aware of the various rumours circulating regarding Lydd Town.

We can confirm that the club were charged by the Kent FA with fielding an ineligible player earlier this season. As is their right, the club have appealed the decision made at county level.

Only once this case has been completed by the Kent FA can the league, if required, progress any potential league charge.

No further comment will be made by the league at this stage.
