League Statement – AFC Whyteleafe
League statement
The Southern Counties East League can confirm that a decision has been made on the abandoned Division One game between Bridon Ropes and AFC Whyteleafe in late March.
The disciplinary commission has decided that the result will stand at the time of the abandonment. AFC Whyteleafe were winning 3-1 and will be awarded three points in the league table, which will see them confirmed as Division One Champions.
While the league appreciates the time this has taken is not ideal, the league must follow the appropriate procedures and this included any potential appeal. We have now had confirmation that Bridon will not be appealing the decision and the matter is now closed.
Our congratulations to AFC Whyteleafe on winning Division One.
