Kennington build from the back

Centre-back, Regan Mendes is the latest player to commit to Kennington for the 2020/21 season.

Mendes (pictured) added further steel to Ton’s back-line since joining the club in January from South Spartan Midlands side, Langford.

He also plied his trade abroad at Brunos Magpies in the Gibraltar Premier League, and Unirea Dej in Romania, before returning to England in 2018 with National League South side, Welling United, followed by a spell on loan at Whitehawk.

Mendes joins fellow defenders, Luke Hughes, Harry Stow, Adam Phillips, Reiss Crimmen and new vice-captain, Calvin Sedenu, in putting pen-to-paper for Dan Scorer’s side ahead of the new season.

There has been one departure from Homelands though with Midfielder Sam Brown calling time on his two year spell at the Club.

The 28-year-old is unable to commit to the club for the forthcoming season, citing work and family reasons alongside his own personal motivation for the level.

Of losing the key midfielder, manager, Dan Scorer, said: “I’m gutted to see Browny leave, he’s a great character amongst the squad, and a huge influence for us on the pitch.
