The scoring opened in the 64th minute when Alfie Bates of K Sports found the back of the net, giving his team the lead. However, AFC Whyteleafe responded emphatically with goals from Dami Olorunnisomo in the 71st minute and Taurean Roberts in the 81st minute, turning the tide in their favor.

K Sports mounted a comeback as Alfie Bates added another in the 73rd minute, leveling the scoreline and setting the stage for a dramatic finish. But AFC Whyteleafe had more to offer, as Helge Orome netted a crucial goal in the 87th minute, regaining the lead for his team.

Dane Luchford looked to have earned the Paperboys a point with his last minute equaliser but the late drama continued as Aaron Watson scored for AFC Whyteleafe in the 90+8 minute, securing the 4-3 victory.
