Updates from Holmesdale ahead of the 2024/25 season start…
“We are pleased to announce some changes to the on-field management structure at the club. Andy Constable will move into the Director of Football role, with Reece Parara coming in as Manager and Simon Beard as Assistant Manager. The duo, who led Welling Utd’s impressive U23 side last season, will also be joined by goalkeeping coach Kieran Gooding, with the aim being to build on the solid foundations that have been laid at Dale over the previous 12 months.”
“Holmesdale 1956 FC is pleased to announce that Tony Beckingham has been appointed Chairman at the football club.
Tony, who was already Director of Football at The Dalers and is a former manager of the club, brings a wealth of experience both on and off the field to the role and will continue to oversee the club’s progression in the football pyramid.”
“The pre-season schedule kicks off on Saturday 22nd June 2024 with a trip to SCEFL Div 1 new boys, Halls Athletic and ends with new groundsharers, Welling Town, at home on Tuesday 23rd July 2024. In-between are matches with East Grinstead, Roffey, FC Elmstead, Bowers & Pitsea, Phoenix Sports and Erith Town.”

“Welling Utd U23 Captain Joins Holmesdale!
We are pleased to announce the signing of Shay Okunola from Welling Utd U23s.
Shay, who is a dynamic combative midfielder by trade, was Welling Utd U23s captain last season for their unbeaten double title winning run and his on-pitch leadership will be seen as invaluable as the club continues its growth.”
“Young Striker Joins Dale!
Holmesdale 1956 FC have confirmed the signing of young striker or winger Oghosa Williams for the upcoming season.
Oghosa, who was part of Welling Utd U23’s title winning side last season, is described by teammates as not only quick and skilful, but as a player who also has the ability to adapt his game and be direct when required.”
“Defender Micquelle Murray Joins Holmesdale 1956 FC
Holmesdale 1956 FC are pleased to confirm the signing of Micquelle Murray for next season.
The defender joins The Dalers following a very successful spell with Welling Utd U23s last season, becoming Manager Reece Parara’s third new signing of the summer.”

“Dean Rose (Rosey) joins our management team as Head GK Coach after three seasons with FC Elmstead. Prior to FC Elmstead, Dean worked at various successful Kent County clubs and has recently started his own GK coaching academy.
Paul Cook (Cookie) joins us after 2 seasons with FC Elmstead working alongside Dean. Paul Cook’s primary focus will be looking after the Keepers at Holmesdale 1956 FC, continuing his work alongside Dean, as well as the rest of the management team.
