Tuesday night gave us lots of friendly fixtures as our SCEFL Clubs continued their preparations for the 2021/22 season.
At Homelands there was an all-SCEFL clash as Kennington hosted Sutton Athletic. The hosts took the game 2-0 with Captain Gary Clarke scoring a goal in each half.
Another Premier v First Division match-up took place at Queen Mary’s with Erith Town winning 3-0 against Stansfeld. Steadman Callender, Michael Power and Harry Gamble with the goals for the Dockers.
Lydd Town v K Sports finished 3-0 to the visitors and Canterbury City narrowly lost at Hythe Town.
At Potyn’s, Ted Rosetti was among the scorers as Snodland Town came from 2-0 down to beat Crockenhill 3-2.
Against higher level opposition, 3 games finished 1-1. Connor Coyne got the goal for Deal Town against Whitstable, Bearsted drew at Herne Bay and FC Elmstead held AFC Croydon.
Step 2 and 3 sides were the opposition for Chatham Town, Sheppey United and Hollands & Blair.
The Chats went down 2-0 at Folkestone Invicta, Sheppey were hit for six at Maidstone United while Blair surprised Cray Wanderers when winning 2-1.
Tunbridge Wells were 3-0 winners at home to a Charlton XI while Steven Ikpeme got the consolation effort for Rusthall as they lost 3-1 at home to Faversham Town.
