Tooting Bec and Larkfield & New Hythe were the two winners from Tuesday night’s First Division action, with one of them cruising to a comfortable victory while the other left it very late before they sealed the deal.
Larkfield got off to the perfect start at home to Lydd Town, with recent signing Luke Baptiste scoring early. Hicham Akhazzan added another before the break and Josh Jackson extended their lead just after the restart.
Baptiste made it four and Jack Bates hit the 5th. Bradley Baker’s last minute effort was a mere consolation effort for the visitors.
The wins sees the ‘Larks’ go 4th.
Tooting Bec are now second after they won for the third time in a row, this one at home to Chessington & Hook.
Ajani Laing equalised the hosts first half opener from James Parsons, with the winner coming from James Curran in the final stages of the game.
‘Bec’ now sit second, just a point behind the leaders Croydon.
