First Division – Saturday 6th August
The two new sides to the SCEFL First Division each began life at Step 6 with an opening day point.
AFC Whyteleafe conceded a last minute Tom Barton leveller at home to Faversham Strike Force while Bermondsey Town scored late to share the spoils with Greenways.
Kenny Pogue was on target as Lydd Town came from behind to beat Tooting Bec, while it was far more comfortable for Snodland Town in their 5-2 win against FC Elmstead. Rob Denness among 5 different scorers for the early league leaders Snodland.
Rochester United and Croydon were both 2-0 victors, with Luis Dos Santos and David Green claiming a brace for their respective sides while it took only a solitary Jack Marsh effort for Larkfield & New Hythe to see off Meridian VP.
Bridon Ropes were the only away winners of the day with Max Juniper’s double adding to Jack Kirby’s opener in a 3-1 success at Staplehurst Monarchs.
