Our 5 completed games gave us 28 goals, on a thrilling opening day in the SCEFL First Division.

Canterbury City were the top scorers, as they hit SC Thamesmead for 7. Remarkably all came in the second half, included a Tim Marapara hat-trick.

It was 6 for Larkfield & New Hythe against a Croydon side who netted 3 times, in a classic at the Eden Park Estates Stadium.

Matt Day got half of the Larks goals, all in the first half, while Bryan Mbenza, Jack Bray and Tyrell Richardson-Brown also scored.

K Sports started life back in the First Division with an impressive 5-2 win at Meridian VP.

It was 5 different scorers for the Paperboys, with George Batten, Joe Ganiwa, Max Morgan, Joe Skinner and Alfie Bates all finding the net.

Tooting Bec went behind early at Greenways but showed that they will be a force once more by battling back, and thanks to goals from Alex Keating, Steve Karkari and Alvin Turyatemba, winning the game.

Rochester United only scored one, but that was enough to claim the 3 points against Bridon Ropes.

Harrison Hume claimed the only goal of the gamein the 25th minute at Rede Court Road.

FC Elmstead v Faversham Strike Force was abandoned in the final minutes of the game due to a bad injury to a home player.
