First Division – Saturday 26th February
9 games, 9 winners, 9 losers in the First Division today with points won and lost at both ends of the table.
Stansfeld were the only team in the top 7 to lose, as they went down 2-0 at home to an in-form Rochester United side that have not given up hope of sneaking into a play-off place.
Forest Hill Park were the only team in the bottom 9 to win as they improved their survival hopes by beating Greenways 3-0.
Sutton Athletic remain at the top of the table after they bounced back from successive defeats to defeat SC Thamesmead 5-2.
Arlie Desanges, Dan Gunner and Conor Evans were all on target for Sutts, who have a 3 point advantage on the pack.
That pack is still headed by Stansfeld, despite defeat, and followed up by Tooting Bec, who won 4-0 at Lydd Town, Snodland Town, who beat Westside 3-1 and Bridon Ropes, who were 2-0 winners at home to Chessington & Hook.
Closing in on a play-off place are Croydon (3-2 winners at Staplehurst Monarchs) and Larkfield and New Hythe (2-0 at home to Kent Football Utd).
The league table is clearly split in two now and it is Faversham Strike Force that lead the bottom half, helped by today’s 2-1 victory over Meridian VP.
February closes out on Monday night with a huge game at Bayliss Avenue as SC Thamesmead host Larkfield & New Hythe.
