First Division – 28th August
Let’s get the elephant out of the room straight away.
It was double-figure delight for Westside FC as they beat Lydd Town 10-2 at the Lindsey Field.
Ayman Doudah hit a hat-trick, Tevon Webster scored twice plus Tyriq Grant, Ilyas Doudah, Theo Williams and Francis Mampola all got their names on the extended scoresheet giving us our first double figure scorers since Holmesdale scored 12 at Crockenhill in January 2018.
Stansfeld meanwhile could only manage 5, but it was enough for them to beat Staplehurst Monarchs and earn a position in the play-off places.
There they find Larkfield & New Hythe, who won 4-2 at home to Tooting Bec today but it is Croydon that remain top, despite the Trams being held to a draw at home to Kent Football United.
Lewisham Borough continued their good start to the season with a 3-0 win at Meridian VP while SC Thamesmead claimed their first victory when beating Greenways 2-0 at The Bayliss.
Chessington & Hook’s win at home to Snodland Town was their second in a row and with the 3 points earned they move into the top half.
