Whitstable Town moved into the FA Vase semi-final for the first time ever as they came from behind to beat Whitchurch Alport.

A club-record crowd of 2,656 at The Belmont saw the Oystermen trail to goals from Callum Knowles and Harry Bower early on befor Ronald Sithole quickly reduced the visitors’ lead.

And as Whitstable took control in the second half, debutant Nathan Jeche equalised before substitute Harvey Smith sealed their 3-2 victory at the death, converting after his penalty had been saved.

Erith & Belvedere lost 2-1 at Hartpury University after taking an early lead in Gloucestershire.

Tommy Whitnell’s 11th minute effort gave the Deres a quick advantage but replies from Louis Manning and Luke Salter took the match away from the SCEFL side.

Joining Whitstable Town and Hartpury University in the final four of the competition will be current SCEFL First Division champions AFC Whyteleafe plus Andover New Street.

The draw for the Semi-Finals will take place on Monday.
