AFC Whyteleafe 7-1 Snodland Town
Deal Town were the big winners on Saturday in the First Round of the FA Vase.
Steve King’s high-fliers claimed a 7-0 win over Division One side Tooting Bec in front of a crowd of 466 at the Charles Sports Ground.
Tom Chapman bagged a hat-trick, brother Ben Chapman netting another two, while strikers Aaron Millbank and Connor Coyne also struck for the hosts.
Francis Babalola’s double guided Phoenix Sports to a 3-2 success at AFC Portchester.
Tashi-Jay Kwayie was also on the scoresheet for Steve O’Boyle’s men who progressed despite home captain Brett Pitman, formerly of Bournemouth and Portsmouth, netting twice for them.
Fisher found a late equaliser before seeing off AFC Stoneham on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
Michael Sarpong netted and, in the 90th minute, Eni Amgbaduba followed suit to set up a shoot-out which Fisher won 5-3.
Tom Scorer’s treble saw Kennington beat Blackfield & Langley 3-1.
Another hat-trick – from former Ashford frontman Luke Burdon – helped Larkfield & New Hythe strike three times in the second half to earn a 3-1 victory over Edgeware & Kingsbury.
Alfie Eldridge scored the only goal for Erith Town in their 1-0 win over Crawley Down Gatwick.
Phil Headley put Bearsted ahead at Jersey Bulls but they eventually were beaten 3-1 in an eventful encounter despite the hosts finishing with nine men.
Lydd Town lost 5-4 on penalties to Holyport following a goalless draw.
Rusthall’s FA Vase run also finished after penalty heartache.
Louie Clarke and Reuel Powell-Downey scored for them at home to Montpelier Villa in a 2-2 draw, but they lost the shoot-out.
Sunday saw a huge win for AFC Whyteleafe against Snodland Town in a game which included a hat-trick for Joe Condon.
The winning clubs can now look forward to the FA Vase Second-Round draw, which will be made on Monday.
Glebe, Stansfeld and Tunbridge Wells will enter the FA Vase competition at the Second Round Proper stage.

There will be no replays in the 2022-23 Isuzu FA Trophy or Isuzu FA Vase competitions. These format changes have been made to ease some pressure on the fixture schedule and to assist clubs and leagues in meeting all fixture commitments.
