Erith & Belvedere have set up a First Qualifying Round tie with Chertsey Town after a 3-2 win at AFC Croydon tonight. Matt Neary, Drew Allassani and Henry Dasofunjo all scored in a dominant first half display from the ‘Deres’ and despite a valiant attempt from the former SCEFL side to get back into the game Erith & Belvedere held on to take the win.
It wasn’t to be for Deal Town though as they went out to a solitary second half goal from visitors Redhill.
A late Ryan Hayes strike saw the Ashford United v Chatham Town game go into extra-time at Homelands. With no further scoring in the added on period the match went to penalties where Chatham came out 6-5 winners! Next-up for them is a trip to Abbey Rangers.
Former SCEFL Champions Sevenoaks Town beat Erith Town 2-1 on Wednesday night. The Oaks took an early lead through Joe Tennant and added to it from Dean Gunner just before the break.
Erith made a great fight for it in the second half, pulled one back from Ryan Mahal but could not quite find the equaliser.
Sevenoaks will visit Redhill in the next round.

From Saturday’s 9 ties 5 of our teams have a place in Monday’s draw for the next round but only Kennington and Sheppey United are guaranteed their place with the other 3 teams first needing to win their replay.
Kennington’s win came at home to Little Common with James Haylock-Ashdown getting both goals in a 2-0 win at Homelands.
Sheppey join them in the draw due to their opponents having to forfeit the game for Covid reasons.
Of those to earn replays Erith Town’s may well have been the most impressive result with Harry Gamble scoring an equaliser for them 11 minutes into added on time.
Dan Bradshaw netted for Chatham Town in a draw at home to Ashford United while a late own goal from Redhill means that Deal Town can go again in the following few days.
Hollands & Blair led but then lost against Ramsgate while K Sports and Bearsted were both knocked out of the Cup with 3-0 defeats.
At the Mayplace Ground, former SCEFL champions Phoenix Sports cruised past Punjab United, with red cards once again easier to come by than goals for the visitors.
The Erith & Belvedere v AFC Croydon on Sunday finished 0-0 and will be replayed on Tuesday night at the Mayfield Stadium.
