Doherty steps down as Bridon Ropes Manager
Bridon Ropes have today revealed that Manager James Doherty has left the Club.
Doherty took the Ropes to a 4th placed finish in the First Division last season, where they led the League late on, and also saw his side finish as Runners-up in the London Senior Trophy.
Bridon Ropes were a joy to watch throughout the 2018-19 Season mixing their attacking flair with a tough resilience at the back. Three of their side finished near the top of the Goalscorers charts and the 94 goals collected in 34 League games was the second most in the Division.
Promotion was a real possibility for them all throughout the year but losses in their final few games saw them drop down to 4th place, which ironically would be a good enough position from which to seal a promotion place in the coming season.
Our management team of jimmy and uche have been fantastic this year taking us so close to promotion, we are sad that jim is calling it a day but the urge to carry on playing is still in him, vets for him this season probably, he will be missed by all, a true Bridon legend

Doherty is the Clubs leading scorer and also appears to have the best winning record of any Bridon Ropes Manager.
Also leaving the club is Assistant Manager Uche Ibemere, who will be taking the Managers job at local Kent County side AFC Mottingham
Bridon Ropes will be naming their new Management Team shortly.
