Coach departs Kennington

Kennington have announced that their First Team coach, Ollie Finch, has left his role at the club.

The former Ashford Town, Deal Town, Hythe Town, Ashford United and Kennington midfielder re-joined Ton at the start of 2019/20, forming part of a backroom team who guided the side to top spot of the SCEFL First Division table, and earned a place in the SCEFL Challenge Cup semi-final, prior to the season being curtailed early.

However work and family commitments has meant Finch has decided to end his time at the club.

Boss, Dan Scorer, said: “Completely respect Ollie’s decision, but it’s a massive loss for the club and for me, personally.

“His opinion and feedback has always been held in high regard and he is very well respected amongst the players.

“He has a great knowledge of the game and how to transition the work we do in training on to the pitch.

“I’d like to thank Ollie for his efforts and input last season, and hope he enjoys the break away from football.

“Of course, I hope to see him again around the club and at matches in future, where he will always be welcome.”

Kennington have been busy preparing ahead of the 2020/21 season and last week revealed the first of the names that will be in their squad for the next campaign.
