Chessington off the Hook?
Chessington & Hook’s rollercoaster ride of a first year in the SCEFL may be over but it appears that their time at Step 6 looks to be extended.
The FA are expected to today confirm that ‘Hook’ will be reprieved from relegation from our First Division and take a place back in the Southern Combination Division One for the 2022/23 campaign.
With Ringmer AFC withdrawing from their promotion place into that league a vacancy arose and Chessington & Hook look geographically best placed to take advantage of it.
Chessington finished bottom of our First Division but appealed relegation due to having a Points Per Game total higher than 11 of the sides across the country that were originally granted a reprieve.
That appeal appears to have worked out for them and we now wish all at the Club the best of luck back in the Southern Combination League.
