Canterbury begin 2021/22 Squad announcements

 

Canterbury City have begun the slow reveal of their 2021/22 season squad.

The team will again be led by Chris Woollcott this year in a campaign that kicks off on 31st July.

First to sign on for the season is Club Captain Danny Keyte.

He will be joined by Rob Lawrence, who will be hoping to add to the 48 goals he has already bagged wearing a City shirt.

Teddy Nelson is staying at the club and ‘can’t wait to get back playing football…’

Enock Soganile broke into the team last season and will be hoping to become a regular in the City 11 this time around.

Niall Salisbury signs for the 2021/22 season. Niall has previously played for Ramsgate, Thanet United and Snodland Town.

Adam Turton has been described as a ‘tenacious midfielder’ and he ‘can’t wait to get going in pre season’.

Lewis Stevens-Toomey is a former Ramsgate man that will again be turning out for City this year.

On the signing of Tom Benham Woollcott said ‘I’m delighted to welcome Tom to the club. He’s someone I’ve been a fan of for many seasons and look forward to working with him .’

Remell Grieson signs for another season with City. Manager Chris Woollcott said, “Remell has an incredible engine and bags of potential. Really pleased to be working with him again this season.”
