Holmesdale FC Updates ahead of their 2023/24 Premier Division Season

Tony Beckingham and Andy Constable returned to Oakley Road to lead Holmesdale through the 2023/24 campaign.

Simon Kidby, Dean Flower and Nik Pye have also joined to help raise the standards and profile of the Club off the field.

Attacking Midfielder, Rory Ward, has agreed to become a Daler again. The consistent performer, who won the SCEFL Premier last season with Erith & Belvedere, has agreed to sign for the club for the upcoming season. Rory popped up with a number of vital goals last season for The Deres, without which, the club may not have begun the season as they did.

The club can announce that our Number 1, James Boughtflower, has been retained for next season. Manager, Tony Beckingham, was thrilled with the news, stating “He’s very talented and has the lot, he will definitely go on to play at a higher level”

Holmesdale 1956 FC is pleased to announce the arrival of left-back, Anthony (AJ) Morrison. The pacey defender, who has commited to sign for the season, was a regular in last season’s SCEFL winning side at Erith & Belvedere and is an all round great guy too?

Holmesdale 1956 FC is pleased to welcome former Sittingbourne, Erith & Belvedere and Cray Valley player, James Hawkins, to Dale. The wing wizard, with a wand of a left foot, and dead ball delivery second to none at this level, will add a real threat going forward.

Holmesdale F.C is pleased to announce that brothers Wale and Tola Odedoyin have committed to sign for the club for the coming season.
Wale Odedoyin is a big and powerful, natural born centre forward, with an eye for goal.
Tola Odedoyin is a no-nonsense centre-back, who is both quick and good in the air and worked with new boss, Tony Beckingham, at Erith Town last season.

Holmesdale 1956 FC is pleased to welcome Theo McKenzie to Oakley Road. The explosive right-back, who lists VCD and Punjab Utd as past clubs, lifted The Kent Senior Trophy last season and is another ‘big statement’ signing for the club. Joint Manager, Andy Constable, who spoke to the club media earlier regarding this addition, has stated “Theo is a top player and I am really excited by this signing and to work with him. The squad continues to take shape, and this is another important piece to that jigsaw”

Holmesdale 1956 FC is thrilled to announce the arrival of Grant Duffy as 1st Team Head Coach. The innovative young coach had a stella season working alongside joint managers Tony Beckingham and Andy Constable last year and will no doubt bring his natural infectious energy to the role. On joining Holmesdale 1956 FC, Grant spoke to the club’s media and stated “I’m a strong-minded coach, who knows the difference between wrong and right when it comes to football. My minimum expectation (of the players) is to always work hard for your peers. I played academy football in my youth career, for a small club in South London called Crystal Palace, as well as for a number of non-league clubs during my playing career and know what it takes to be successful at this level. I cannot wait to get started at Holmesdale, a club with so much potential and it will be my job to help make sure we fulfil that potential”.

New Coach Arrives:
Holmesdale 1956 F.C. welcomes coach, Dane Luchford, to Oakley Road.
Dane is a league and cup winner with Faversham Town and a playing career that includes the likes of Folkestone FC and Dorking FC, Dane has established himself over the years in the Kent & Ryman leagues. An eye for goal and a dead ball specialist, he has chipped in with the goals and assists over the years, along with playoff final and cup final appearances. Now making his first move into coaching / management, he is keen to get to work with Holmesdale, along with Tony & AC, to see how far they can take this club!

Holmesdale are delighted to announce that 28 year old striker, Richard Jimoh, has agreed to join the club. He is a player who caught the eye of the management team, with his powerful and goal scoring displays for K Sports last season.
