Ambition achieved for Staplehurst Monarchs

Staplehurst Monarchs have released this club statement following today’s news of their promotion into the SCEFL First Division.

“Staplehurst Monarchs are delighted to announce the promotions to Southern Counties East Football League Division One for 2021/22 season.

“Promotion to this League has been an ambition of the club for a number of years and many have worked tirelessly to make this happen.

“We would like to thank the Kent County League, Maidstone Borough Council, Southern Counties East Football League, The FA and Staplehurst Parish Council for their continued support over this time.

“We would also like to extend our thanks to our players, fans, management and our sponsors past and present who have helped us to get to where we are today.

“We’re excited to welcome the Southern Counties East Football League sides to the Jubilee and look forward to this next chapter in the clubs 128 year history.”

Staplehurst were promoted from the Kent County League alongside Faversham Strike Force and Larkfield & New Hythe to the new 20 team SCEFL First Division that gets under way on 31st July.
