8th January – First Division
Just the 5 games in the First Division today thanks to bad weather but there was no shortage of action and no shortage of goals with 24 efforts hitting the back of the net, includin 5 for the league leaders.
Sutton Athletic kept up their strong run and first position in the table with a 5-2 home win against Staplehurst Monarchs.
Ijah Currie-Wilson and Conor Evans scored twice for The Sutts with Arlie Desanges also claiming his 19th goal of an impressive season.
The ‘Big’ game of the day came at came at Imperial Fields where Stansfeld beat Tooting Bec 3-1 to return to 2nd place.
Macey Malyon scored either side of the break and Dan Parkinson sealed the points before Ross Broadway netted a Bec consolation goal.
Snodland Town are up to 4th after ending SC Thamesmead’s winning run at Bayliss Avenue.
Dan Ashton opened the scoring early on and following Caine Smith’s goal added another as Snodland ran out 3-0 victors.
The other two games finished even as Darnell Anderson levelled late on for Lewisham Borough at home to Faversham Strike Force and Meridian VP drew 2-2 with Greenways.
